Choose a phone by variant, not just the model name

Start with the tasks your current phone struggles with. A better screen, extra storage or a more dependable charging routine is a more useful requirement than a long list of headline features. Write down your three priorities before comparing models.

Match the exact variant

Storage, memory, region and model suffix belong in your comparison. A discount for a different capacity is not a like-for-like price. Check the invoice description and warranty region, then save the seller and return-policy details.

Compare what you will notice

Look at screen size and refresh rate alongside weight and grip. Camera megapixels alone do not settle image quality. If photography matters, inspect credible original samples in the conditions you use most often. For battery claims, compare the same test activity and settings.

Build a realistic purchase total

Add any charger, case, delivery and protection you actually need. Keep exchange estimates and bank discounts separate from the unconditional price. An exchange quote can change after inspection; a card offer may apply only to certain payments.

Try a comparison

Use the iPhone 17 256GB and Galaxy A56 8GB/128GB as examples of records with explicit variants. They are examples to inspect, not a value ranking. Their different systems and configurations make your requirements especially important.
